Ben van Berkel > Opening Lecture 2016/17
Ben van Berkel studied architecture at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, and at the Architectural Association in London, receiving the AA Diploma with Honours in 1987. In 1988 he and his wife, Caroline Bos, set up an architectural practice in Amsterdam named Van Berkel & Bos Architectuurbureau, which realized, amongst others projects, the Karbouw office building, the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam.
IN(3D)USTRY – FROM NEEDS TO SOLUTIONS
From 21st to 23rd June, 2016 the Gran Via Exhibition Centre in Barcelona, Fira Barcelona will host the premiere of In(3D)ustry – From Needs to Solutions. This is a new international event, focusing on the current state and future of Additive and Advanced Manufacturing.
Live Knowledge – IAAC at the 15th Venice Biennale
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia will take part to the 15th Venice Biennale, titled Reporting From the Front and curated by Alejandro Aravena, with an interactive installation made in collaboration with the Indian architect Anupama Kundoo.

An architect and engineer by training, Carlo Ratti practices in Italy and teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he directs the Senseable City Lab.
