IAAC at In(3D)ustry – From Needs to Solutions

From 21st to 23rd June, 2016 the Gran Via Exhibition Centre in Barcelona, Fira Barcelona will host the premiere of In(3D)ustry – From Needs to Solutions. This is a new international event, focusing on the current state and future of Additive and Advanced Manufacturing.

The event, co-organised by IAAC Fab City Research Laboratory and Fira Barcelona, will be a global hub bringing together all components of the Additive Manufacturing ecosystem to showcase the latest technologies and innovation.

IAAC is involved in several appointments which will fill up the schedule of the event.

Make it as a Pro: June 21st – 10am to 12pm. Curated by Wevolver and IAAC Fab City Research Laboratory. Connects creators developing new products using advanced manufacturing technologies with industry developers.

Made Again in the Fab City: June 21st – 3pm to 5:30pm. Curated by Space10 and IAAC Fab City Research Laboratory director, Tomás Díez. Brings together urbanists and creators currently shaping the cities of the future.

Architecture & Habitat Panel: June 22nd – 12:30pm to 2:30pm. Some of the leading personalities in the field discuss about the opportunities of digital technologies. This panel is curated by IAAC Academic Director Areti Markopoulou.

Fab Academy Global Presentations: June 22nd. Students from Fab Academy Barcelona will attend the global Fab Academy final presentations, connected via live-streaming from Fira Barcelona.

IAAC Minibuilders

Minibuilders – Small Robots Printing Big Structures

Together with workshops and discussion panels, the event will host the In(3D)ustry Arena, a dedicated area where visitors from the four main industrial sectors – Healthcare, Transport, Retail & Consumer and Architecture & Habitat – can meet with exhibitors, present their challenges and see demonstrations on how additive manufacturing has already produced tangible solutions for different industries.

In the In(3D)ustry Arena will be showcased Video and Prototypes of Master in Advanced Architecture and Open Thesis Fabrication’s projects around Additive Manufacturing such as Pylos, Minibuilders, Bio-scaffold, Moss Voltaics, Phriends for Shells and Translated Geometries.
