The pavilion is being complemented by a transparent protective skin self responding to the internal and external environmental conditions and the integration of the farming products with plants and fishes. This membrane on top of the wooden structure controls the ventilation air inside the pavilion.

HSE Graduate School of Urbanism and the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia are launching a joint project the V.D.N.H. Laboratory of the Future workshop, resulting in works to be presented inside the Russian Pavilion during the 15th Architecture Venice Biennale, curated by the Chief Architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia will take part to the 15th Venice Biennale, titled Reporting From the Front and curated by Alejandro Aravena, with an interactive installation made in collaboration with the Indian architect Anupama Kundoo.
Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae that has been pointed as one of the best foods in the world by the United Nations. In this workshop, the participants will be introduced to the microcosm of Spirulina and the parameters for its growth. The objective of the workshop is to familiarize yourself with Spirulina cultivation methods and introduce sensors in order to run your own monitoring test kit, from June 04 to June 05.
