Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction (MRAC) Director Alexandre Dubor discusses with specialized press the future of 3D printing & robotics and the shift currently taking place in the construction industry

Since 2012, Dubor has worked at IAAC as an expert in digital manufacturing and robotics and currently directs the Open Thesis Fabrication programme and, together with Aldo Sollazzo, co-directs the Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction. In collaboration with other members of IAAC academic team, its own students and industry partners, it is investigating how new advances in materials, digital manufacturing and computer design could lead to a better building ecosystem, towards a more efficient, affordable, sustainable and customized built environment.

He has recently given interviews to international media specialising in advanced architecture, new construction and 3D printing such as ArchDaily, Plataforma Arquitectura (in Spanish) and 3D Printing Industry  (in English) to discuss the IAAC’s work in this field and the contents of MRAC new master’s programme, which has a pioneering syllabus in Europe on robotics for design and building processes.
