Since 2000 the Master’s in Advanced Architecture runs an international lecture program in which architects and experts from a variety of different disciplines present their work at IaaC. The lectures are open to the public, consisting in a high quality cultural activity open to the city of Barcelona.

Ben van Berkel > Opening Lecture 2016/17
Ben van Berkel studied architecture at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, and at the Architectural Association in London, receiving the AA Diploma with Honours in 1987. In 1988 he and his wife, Caroline Bos, set up an architectural practice in Amsterdam named Van Berkel & Bos Architectuurbureau, which realized, amongst others projects, the Karbouw office building, the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam.
Wolf D. Prix – IaaC Closing Lecture 2016
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Wolf D.Prix, Coop Himmelb(l)au, for the Closing Lecture of this year’s IAAC Lecture series 2015/16. After the welcome words of IAAC Academic Director Areti Markopoulou, the SCI-Arc Director Hernán Díaz Alonso introduced to a full-house audience Prof. Wolf D. Prix and his lecture The Himmelb(l)au Project.
