Since 2000 the Master’s in Advanced Architecture runs an international lecture program in which architects and experts from a variety of different disciplines present their work at IaaC. The lectures are open to the public, consisting in a high quality cultural activity open to the city of Barcelona.

Mar Santamaria-Varas and Pablo Martinez-Diez are co-founders of the design studio 300.000 Km/s. They work with Data Analysis and Visualisation to propose new ways to depict subjective and objective mechanisms taking place in cities trough human-place transactions.
Manfred Karrer is an Austrian software developer who is working on Bitsquare since 2014. This presentation will cover the questions why a decentralized Bitcoin exchange is needed and how to build it. It will focus on the political and conceptual aspects and will give a short demo of the software.
Eugenio Tisselli is an artist and programmer with a specific interest in developing socio-technical methodologies for communal practice. As director of the ojoVoz project, he has carried out extended workshops with small-scale farming communities in different parts of the world.
Edouard Cabay is a registered architect at the Catalan College of Architects and is graduated from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. After gaining professional experience in London, Tokyo and Brussels, he founded Appareil in Barcelona in 2011. His lecture will examine Machinic protocols.
