IaaC launches a new master in Advanced Interaction
Following the 15th anniversary from the first edition of the Master in Advanced Architecture, the Barcelona based Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) announces that from September 2017 it will be offering a new master program in Advanced Interaction, consolidating its reputation as one of the best centers for international architectural education.
Introduction to Digital Fabrication – Final Presentations

Last Monday the Open Thesis Fabrication 2016/17 students presented the findings from the research they have been developing for the past month of September. The Open Thesis Fabrication Program 2016/17 aims at producing a performative pavilion to be exhibited in Barcelona by march 2017.
IAAC Alumni looks at silk as a construction material
IAAC Alumni Ilaria la Manna’s Bombix Bricks project looks at silk as a valid construction and structural material to be used within architecture. The overall goal is to create a growing space, acting as a temporary installation. Through time, the morphology of the fabric would be reduced back again to to its initial liquid state, allowing one to restart a different development in their desired location.

Last monday, in a crowded main hall, IAAC team members warmly welcomed the 150 new students from 41 different countries who decided to make their life changing experience at IAAC Barcelona this year.

Poblejoc – Activating the Superilla Public Space
In which ways can people have a more active role in the design of their spaces? How technology can enhance our capability of understanding and interact with our space? Poblejoc, an interactive installation conceived during the Active Public Space workshop, has been designed as an Urban Game with the aim of activating public space.
