Primavera De Filippi is a permanent researcher at the CERSA / CNRS / Université Paris II. She is a faculty associate at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School, where she is investigating the concept of governance-by-design as it relates to distributed online architectures, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. Primavera holds a PhD from the European University Institute in Florence.
She is a member of the Global Agenda Council on the Future of Software & IT Services at the World Economic Forum, as well as the founder of the Internet Governance Forum’s dynamic coalitions on Network Neutrality, Platform Responsibility and Blockchain Technology. Primavera acts as a legal expert for Creative Commons France and the P2P Foundation. She is also the co-founder of Backfeed, an initiative aimed at developing the foundational tools for distributed blockchain-based applications.
