Last April 4th, IAAC founder Vicente Guallart, presented at Harvard GSD the first full English translation of Iledfons Cerda’s book Theory of Urbanization.

The event included a presentation of the book and the open data platform urbanization.org, as well as a conversation with Harvard GSD professors Joan Busquets, Neil Brenner and Charles Waldheim about the important work from Cerdà.

The event, to which took part Areti Markopoulou and Javier Nieto, was organized by IAAC Faculty Daniel Ibañez together with Spain GSD and Harvard Spain and supported by Real Colegio Complutense at Harvard.

IAAC and Actar Publishers have developed the book in partnership with prestigious institutions such as Diputació de Barcelona, Incasol, CCCB and the collaboration of Bloomberg Philanthropies. The online platform of urbanization.org has been developed in collaboration with Urban Data Analysis studio 300.000kms.
