Raquel Lopez is an expert in mobility forecast studies. She is a Civil Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC, Barcelona 2002). She works at MCRIT since 2001 as traffic engineer expert, specialist in smart mobility, forecasting demand projects for large transport infrastructures in either public or private transportation systems.
She has worked for several clients such as ATM, DTES, Ifercat, GISA, Airports, Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, among others). She is developer of SIMCAT model, GIS and modeling system for the evaluation of territorial policies in Catalonia by the Department of Regional Policy of the Generalitat of Catalonia and she carried out the implementation SIMCAT II, a system application to Public Transport. She worked on evaluation of alternative proposals for the new Roads Plan of Catalonia 2003-2020 (PCC) and in the drafting of the new railway Infrastructure Plan of Catalonia. She coordinates projects on forecasting traffic in different type of infrastructures of transport
