Oriol Biosca has a Engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona 2007). He has been involved in strategic studies at local, regional and international level in relation to regional development, territorial strategy analysis and cohesion policies, as well as in foresight activities both at the European and Spanish levels.
At the local level, he has been actively involved in feasibility studies of urban and transport infrastructure projects and in local and regional strategic development plans.
He has also been involved in several forecast studies at the EU level for DG MOVE, in the framework of the EC Future of Transport Communication, 2009), for the Territorial Agenda of the EU (in the contribution of the Spanish Presidency to the promotion of the urban-rural partnership),as well as in various FP7 projects dealing with territorial development, cohesion, energy, transport, economy and governance (MIND-SETS, FLAGSHIP, PASHMINA, ORIGAMI, LIVINGRAIL, HIGH-TOOL, COMPASS, INTERCONNECT) and H2020 (MIND SETS, RELOCAL). He coordinated the ESPON ETMS project.
