Efrain Larrea is an expert in financial evaluation of transport projects. He is an engineer (UPC) with more than 10 years’ experience as specialist in financial evaluation and transport economics, both at European and Spanish levels. At the local level, he has been actively involved in financial assessments of mobility investments as the connection of the tramway lines in Barcelona.

He has been involved in studies at EU level for the DG Move (e.g. TEN-CONNECT, in the framework of the definition of a core network in the TEN-T, or the TRANSvisions study, in the framework of the EC Future of Transport Communication of 2009), as well as in projects dealing with transport in the framework of the EU2020 strategy and beyond (e.g. HIGH-TOOL, LIVINGRAIL INTERCONNECT, ACTION18 of the RTAP, among others).
