David Dalmazzo is a musician and interactive-design programmer. Currently doing his PhD at MTG – Pompeu Fabra within the project TELMI: A new project to create interactive, assistive, self-learning and social-aware technologies for music learning. Especially based on Machine Learning gesture recognition for musical applications.
He worked two years on Specs Lab – Pompeu Fabra programming the BrainX3: Application for visualisation and interaction of the “connectome” a model of the human brain-regions connectivity. He has a Master on Cognitive Systems and Interaction Media at University Pompeu Fabra.
David spent two years in Laboral Art Centre (Gijón-Spain), as a Production Centre manager and Technical Director, working with many well-known artists in the field of audiovisual interactive media. He also worked for Open Lab Company (Roma -Italy) as a programmer and artist. Mobile Homes (Olso.-Norway) as a visual artist and participated in projects for art centres such as Museo Picasso, Fundación Joan Miró, D-Hub Barcelona, CCCB, Laboral Art Centre. He has been conducting workshops related to programming and interaction design in Iaac, Laboral Art Centre, Elisava, Università Sapienza, among others institutions for over ten years.
