New Bachelor’s Degree on Urban Sciences was presented this last week at Saló del Ensenyament 2018, Barcelona’s Education Fair, which gathers thousands of students from all over Catalonia and the rest of Spain. This year’s edition was the perfect opportunity for IAAC to promote, together with ESCI-UPF, these new studies that combine theoretical, practical and applied knowledge from the fields of ecology, economy, society, technology and habitat in order to tackle present and future issues in urban spaces.
This undergraduate programme trains professionals to become the future leaders of cities by equipping students with the necessary skills to take diverse career paths, including local, regional, national and even international public and private organisations.
The 29th edition of Saló del Ensenyament was more international than ever and among the 190 exhibitors there were around fourty foreign training centres, mostly universities, from Europe and the rest of the world. Students were curious to know more about this pioneering and internationally-oriented programme which is the first existing in Spain and one of the few programmes taught in Europe in the field of Urban Sciences.
