The Foreign Affairs and European Union department of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonia’s Government) has selected the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia as an experienced and distinguished centre in the management and attraction of European funds for its research.

IAAC, as a centre committed to the creation of an innovation hub at the 22@ technological district of Poblenou in Barcelona, has as a priority its participation in European Union research programmes such as Horizon 2020, Creative Europe and Erasmus+. The Catalan Government has highlighted 8 projects out of the 15 in which IAAC has participated since 2014. Among them are leading and advanced initiatives in the field of architecture, urbanism, intelligent cities and citizen empowerment through technology. These are the selection of projects highlighted, which are internally led by IAAC departments Fab City Research Lab and the Advanced Architecture Group:
