From 3rd to 5th October, 2017 the Gran Via Exhibition Centre in Barcelona, Fira Barcelona will host the second edition of In(3D)ustry – From Needs to Solutions, the international gathering focusing on the current state and future of Additive and Advanced Manufacturing.

The event, co-organised by Noumena and Fira Barcelona, will be a global hub bringing together all components of the Additive Manufacturing ecosystem to showcase the latest technologies and innovation. IAAC is involved in several appointments which will fill up the schedule of the event.

On Wednesday October 4th, IAAC Academic Director Areti Markopoulou and Acciona’s Director of Advanced and Digital Innovation Hub José Daniel García Espinel, will animate a debate on the role of Advanced Manufacturing in Civil Engineering, on the IN(3D)USTRY Main Stage at 13:20.

On the same day the RESHAPE Forum, will take place. IN(3D)USTRY will be hosting the projects submitted for the 3rd Reshape Awards, focusing this year in new materialities and interactive relations, with the aim of recognizing the best designs created through additive and advanced manufacturing worldwide.

At 10:15 am will take place the RESHAPE Project Presentations, where IAAC Alumni Montakan Manosong will present the project Breathing Skin, one of the 10 finalists of the competition, developed by Irene Ayala Castro, Montakan Manosong, Ya Chieh Chang and Zina Alkani during the Master in Advanced Architecture 2016/17.

At 17:30 pm the Reshape Award Ceremony will be held, presented by IAAC Head of Studies Mathilde Marengo, and followed by the Reshape Round Table at 18:00, where Reshape and Noumena Director Aldo Sollazzo, IAAC Academic Director Areti Markopoulou and Fab Textiles Founder Anastasia Pistofidou will discuss about the outcomes of the competition.

Together with workshops and discussion panels, the event will host the In(3D)ustry Arena, a dedicated area which will showcase production line workflow examples and concrete solutions in Additive & Advanced Manufacturing.

In the In(3D)ustry Arena will be showcased video and prototypes of On Site Robotics, the project developed by IAAC Advanced Architecture Group and Tecnalia, which brings automation on the construction site.
