The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is launching “BCN Summer Workshops” program, presenting six different, four-day-long workshops directed and taught by leading experts from various creative fields. The event will take place from July 23rd to August 4th, in Mas Valldaura, a 130-hectare estate located inside Collserola National Park, nearby Barcelona, and will commence with the inaugural speech of world-acclaimed chef, Ferran Adrià.

The objective of this program is to connect the brightest minds of Barcelona with enthusiastic, curious and like-minded people from all around the world.

The program will include six different workshops from a wide variety of disciplines: Land Art, Big Data, Architecture, Performance, Lighting design, Typography, acclaimed experts from those fields will be in charge of designing and leading the entire learning experience and the production process. The courses will be in English with the hopes of creating an international and diverse group.

Following the inaugural speech by world-acclaimed chef Ferran Adrià, from 24th of July until 4th of August, workshops will be conducted by prestigious names; Land Artist Jorge Rodriguez Gerada, Graphic Design studio Lo Siento, Industrial Designer Toni Arola, Theatrical Group La fura Dels Baus, Data Visualization Studio Bestiario and Architecture collective MAP13.

BCN Summer Program is a unique experience for creating in an inspiring nature, interchanging knowledge, gaining new skills, discussing ideas and sharing a table with brightest minds of Barcelona.
