Join IAAC at the Celebrations for the End of 2017 Academic Year

The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia prepares itself for the end of Academic Year’s Celebrations. Fifteen appointments will fill up these upcoming weeks from Tuesday 13th until Friday 30th of June. Four locations, in Poblenou, city centre and Collserola Park will host lectures, presentations, exhibitions and ceremonies. You are all invited to join us for this celebration of Advanced Architecture before the summer break.

Final Presentations & Studio Exhibitions

Final Presentations for the Master in City & Technology, Master in Advanced Architecture MAA01 and MAA02 will be taking place these weeks. Each of the Research Studios will present to a selected international jury on the below mentioned dates. Stay in touch for being up to date on the jury members and program of each presentations.

During these days the projects of Advanced Interaction will be exhibited at art gallery Corretger5 and the Exhibition Living in the Future Cities based on the architectural research of our students will be shown at  the exhibition center MUHBA Oliva Artés.

On Monday 19th of June IAAC hosts the second IAAC Global Alumni Meeting in Barcelona. For this very special occasion, IAAC extended an invitation to all its former students around the globe to join us and share, learn and celebrate together another year of success.

In the day of the meeting, four panels will fill up the two Alumni Talks sessions, running from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 until 18:00.

Fabrication Protocols, Research & Design, Relational Habitats and Urban Futures are the topics around which the twelve Alumni, selected by the call for speakers, will present their recent work.

The working day day will be closed by the Open Lecture of Farshad Mehdizadeh at 19:30 followed by the Alumni party, starting at 22:00.

Graduation Party & Ceremony

On Friday 30th of June more than 140 students from 50 different countries will celebrate their graduation for the programs MAA, MaCTOTF and Fab Academy BCN. The ceremony will take place at the Valldaura Self-sufficient Labs, IAAC’s Campus at Collserola Park, starting at 18:00, and dinner & party will follow starting at 21:00.
