MAA & MaCT FIRST TERM FINAL PRESENTATIONS + MAA THESIS & OTF MID TERM PRESENTATIONS

The First Term Final Presentations for the Master in Advanced Architecture (MAA) will be taking place next week in IaaC.
Each Introductory Studio will present to a selected international jury on the following dates:

Introductory Studio 1_Active Public Space // Tutored by: Edouard Cabay; Assistant: Rodrigo Aguirre.

The studio has been questioning the presence of the cars in the public space and speculating on the consequences of its sudden removal. Space has been understood through the examination of layers of activities and the interactions that exist between them. Before acting on existing orders, the students analyzed the public space using means of mapping and cartography.

The studio has been looking at mechanisms of local energy, food and bio-materials production in dense urban environment, focusing on how these bottom up processes of production could contributed to the urban morphogenesis of contemporary cities.

December 16th will be the turn of the First Term Presentations by the Master in City and Technology (MaCT) students:

The objective of this studio has been to develop a prototype of neighborhood for a Self-sufficient City. The idea is based in the long-term research developed at IAAC, related to the idea that cities in the future will be able to produce all the resources that they need locally, while being connected globally.
