The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is glad to announce that the projects 3D-Printed Earth Forest Campus and MO.CA have been shortlisted to become Project of the Year 2025 for ArchDaily. You have time to vote until midnight of Wednesday, February 12th!

All registered users of MyArchDaily platform will be able to vote. If you are not registered, you can do it here.

You will be able to vote for your favorite project for each of the 15 categories included in the Awards, one vote per category. IAAC projects are in two different categories: Cultural Architecture for the 3D-Printed Earth Forest Campus, and Hospitality Architecture for MO.CA, this means you can vote for both of them.

Winners of each category will be announced on ArchDaily’s home page on February 20th, 2025. We need your vote for both projects to reach the final stage! Find all the links below.

Over the years, different classes of students from the Postgraduate in 3D Printing Architecture (3DPA) completed a 100 m² low carbon emissions building prototype using local soil and natural materials, utilizing the pioneering Crane WASP 3D printer. The 3D-Printed Earth Forest Campus in Collserola Natural Park (Barcelona) features enclosed, covered, and open spaces, serving as a live laboratory for testing new constructive and architectural solutions, and represents a significant step towards a sustainable km0 earth affordable housing model. In 2024, Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities (MAEBB) designed and constructed their final thesis project, the MO.CA Mobile House, an advanced and ecological mobile home using ‘zero-kilometre’ cross-laminated timber (CLT), sustainably sourced from the grounds of the IAAC Valldaura Campus, and digital construction techniques. The cabin is meant to allow for other functions within its central space, such as areas for concerts, events, a library, or a meeting place, so that depending on its context, it could serve multiple purposes.
