Vicente Guallart, founder of the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and co-director of the Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities (MAEBB), is currently a member of the 2023 Super Jury at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Singapore, where, from November 29 to December 1, the jury will deliberate and decide the Best Project of the Year. Guallart is among 140 judges representing 68 countries.

The unique aspect of WAF lies in its judging process, where participants are evaluated by their peers, industry power players, and internationally recognized architects. The festival provides a platform for architects to showcase their projects and engage in discussions that shape the future of the built environment.

The finalists present their projects within their respective categories during the first two days of the event. The category winners then advance to present before the Super Jury, an elite panel comprised of some of the most influential figures in the architectural world. This year, the Super Jury includes luminaries such as Sir Peter Cook, Richard Hassell (WOHA), and Albert Williamson-Taylor (AKT II), among others.
