Sami Rintala is a Finnish-born architect and partner of Rintala Eggertsson Architects, a Norway-based architecture firm. Since its establishment in 2007, Rintala Eggertsson Architects’ work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, MAXXI Museum in Rome, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the National Art Museum of China, among others.

The company has received prestigious awards including the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture, Wan 21 for 21 Award, Architizer A-plus Award, and the International Architecture Award. They have been published in architecture magazines such as A and U, Blueprint, Architectural Review, Detail, Topos, Domus, Wallpaper and the New York Times and Wall Street Journal.

Rintala has been a professor of architecture in the Trondheim and Oslo schools of architecture, and a visiting professor at TU in Vienna, the University of Westminster in London, Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas, University of Virginia, Skopje Macedonia, the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, and Umeå University in Sweden.
