Guillermo Sevillano and Elena Orte founded SUMA in 2005, an office based in Madrid focused on library and residential projects and interested in new ways of entrepreneurship, the unprejudiced revision of architectural types and the use of innovative structures and techniques. Together with their collaborators, they have won several competitions that include a Library in Barcelona, under construction, a Library and Multipurpose Center in Fuerteventura, 50 Public Housing for the Municipality of Madrid, 73 Public Housing for the Government of Madrid. Their work has also been selected or awarded in other competitions like the Helsinki Central Library or the Arts Center of Verin. Their projects have been published nationally and internationally in journals and architectural websites. They have participated in different exhibitions and given conferences around the world and they are both members of IAAC Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings Faculty.
