IAAC’s Academic Director Areti Markopoulou participates on Thursday 27th as a guest speaker and contributor for the panel discussion on the future cities organized by El Periódico de Cataluña newspaper.
One of the leading dailies in Catalonia’s media environment, El Periódico, will be holding a debate titled ‘Complex Infrastructures for Tomorrow Cities’ with experts from urbanism, architecture, city management and technology fields with the aim to discuss how to address the United Nations’s 17 Goals for Sustainable Development.
Among these experts, personalities such as Ignacio Calvo, Director of Technological Innovation at Acciona; Janet Sanz, Councillor for Ecology, Urban Planning and Mobility at Barcelona City Council, or Ángel Martín Ramos, Professor of Urban and Territorial Planning at ETSAB (UPC-Barcelona TECH) together with our Academic Director Areti Markopoulou will give their viewpoint on a series of questions related to the sustainability of tomorrow’s cities: infrastructure, resources, habitability needs and climate change, to mention a few of them.
