On Saturday 12th one of the most eagerly awaited days of the year will take place: Poblenou Open Day! For the sixth consecutive year we will enjoy a day where the creative district of Poblenou will open its doors to offer a wide variety of cultural activities.

Art galleries, creation and training centres, artists’ studios, audiovisual production companies, gastronomic spaces, shops and universities will be part of the event, promoted by Poblenou Urban District‘s organizatio. By offering a full programme of free activities and special workshops planned just for this unique event, Fab Lab Barcelona at IAAC will be part of the event’s Makerspaces Circuit from 4 pm to 9 pm.

In the neighbourhood there is a network of creators, digital innovators, manufacturers, small craftsmen, designers and technological research spaces that make up a large part of Poblenou’s creative community. Therefore, the Makerspaces Circuit is conceived as a journey through some of these spaces, with the aim of making visible the network of creators who work for a new model of city promoting local, collaborative and sustainable production.

Poblenou Open Day 2018 will allow a wide range of audiences to know different spaces and people involved in boosting the innovative and artistic side of the Maker District of Barcelona.
