The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia is participating this week at the Innochain Winter School, titled ‘Drivers of Innovation’, taking place in Berlin during October 12th and 13th. The Innochain Winter School is a forum for exchange and innovation within and beyond the 15 research projects in the European Innochain network. Placed in six of Europe’s leading architectural universities and in collaboration with 15 of the most innovative companies in the building industry, the research projects investigate new ways of designing, communicating and materializing architecture through digital fabrication and simulation.
The 15 Innochain researchers will develop together with their industry partners their projects in terms of future application in the building industry. The results of this incubation will be presented on October 12. We look forward to having rich discussions on the future of the architectural practice and how the current research agendas within the network may shape its future. The public is warmly invited to discuss with the researchers, their industry partners as well as academic institutions. The presentations will culminate with the opening of the Innochain exhibition on Friday 13.
From IAAC, Expert in Digital Fabrication Raimund Krenmüller and Faculty & Computational Expert Angelos Chronis are attending this forum for innovation aiming to foster and disseminate the European InnoChain network research.
