Mohamad Ridwan Kamil is the incumbent Mayor of Bandung City. He is an Indonesian architect and lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Bandung Institute of Technology.
Ridwan Kamil founded the architecture firm Urbane Indonesia in 2004 and in 2006 was the national winner of the British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur award, representing Indonesia in the International Young Design Entrepreneur of the year award in 2009, Kamil was designate as Architect of the Year by Elle Decor magazine.
As the Mayor of Bandung City, Ridwan Kamil was selected to lead the Asia-Africa Smart Cuty Alliance, wich is a follow up initiative from the 2015 Asia-Africa Conference Commemoration.
