Massachusetts Institute of Technology, designed and coordinated by
IAAC.

Applications open May 1 – May 31, 2026 at 19:00 CEST

The Legacy of Josep María Bosch Aymerich

Founded in Barcelona in 1996, Fundación Bosch Aymerich carries the legacy of Dr. Josep María Bosch Aymerich – an industrial engineer, architect, and entrepreneur who became the first Spaniard to graduate from MIT, studying alongside Aalto, Le Corbusier, and Gropius.

Created to promote architecture, culture, and education while reducing inequality in Catalonia, the Foundation today supports projects that connect knowledge, talent, and social impact – making this scholarship a natural expression of its founder’s pioneering spirit.
