IAAC Graduation Ceremony 2026
Celebrating the Class of 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 at IAAC
On 3 July 2026, IAAC – Advanced Architecture Barcelona held its annual Graduation Ceremony at L’Hivernacle, one of Barcelona’s most extraordinary historic spaces, honouring the graduating classes of 2024–25 and 2025–26. More than 200 students from across the world received their diplomas, marking the culmination of an intense, hands-on academic journey rooted in experimentation, innovation and community.
The ceremony opened with a welcome address by Daniel Ibáñez, Director of IAAC, followed by a speech from Areti Markopoulou, Academic Director. The event was presented and conducted by Shreya Rangholia, IAAC Student Services Secretary, and Andrés Ardila, Admissions Manager.
Graduates from across the institute’s programmes were invited to the stage — celebrating the completion of a transformative period of experimentation, collaboration and research spanning advanced architecture, ecological design, artificial intelligence, computational design and emergent futures.
The programmes represented at the ceremony included:
- Master in Advanced Architecture
- Master in Ecological Architecture and Advanced Construction
- Master in AI for Architecture and Business Innovation
- Master in Advanced Computational Design for Architecture
- Master in Design for Emergent Futures
- Master in Advanced Urban Planning and Data Analytics*
- Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction*

Throughout the event, student representatives shared personal reflections on their time at IAAC – highlighting the academic intensity, international community and values of collaboration that define the institute’s approach to architectural education.
After the ceremony, students, families, faculty and friends came together at IAAC and ITNIG Space for a closing party – celebrating the end of an unforgettable academic year.
