IAAC Open House for UIA

IAAC open house
Date: 2 July, 2026 Time: 13:00 - 18:00 Location: IAAC Forest Campus & IAAC City Campus

On July 2nd – the closing day of the UIA World Congress – IAAC opens its doors to the global architecture community.

Over 10,000 architects, researchers and institutions are gathering in Barcelona this July for the most important architectural congress in the world. As the city becomes the World Capital of Architecture, we invite UIA attendees to visit our campuses, meet our researchers, and experience firsthand what it means to prototype the future of architecture.

Programme

13:00 – IAAC Forest Campus (Valldaura Labs): An open visit to IAAC’s forest campus, located in the Collserola Natural Park. Guided tour and mini lecture by Alex Dubor, Director of IAAC’s Robotics Lab. The visit coincides with the inauguration of our latest 3D Printed Earth Building – a live demonstration of what radical, regenerative construction looks like in practice, co-led by Edouard Cabay, Co-Director of the 3D Printing Architecture Programme.

IAAC Barcelona

16:00 – IAAC City Campus: An open visit to IAAC’s city campus in the heart of Barcelona’s Poblenou district. Guided tour and mini lecture followed by the opening of the end-of-year student exhibition at 17:30 – showcasing the prototypes and research developed by this year’s students.

Both visits are free and open to all UIA Congress attendees, including professionals, prospective students and institutional partners.
