We are pleased to announce that Aldo Sollazzo, Director of the Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction (MRAC) at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), won the BuiltWorlds Mavericks Awards 2023.
Aldo Sollazzo is an entrepreneur and innovator, expert in robotics, computer vision, and computational design. He has been recognized specifically for his director work within IAAC in using advanced manufacturing and robotic systems within design elements, and for his work within Noumena using machine learning algorithms to educate people in the industry on how they can improve spatial efficiency, urban resilience, and sustainable production performances.
BuiltWorld is an international network of people and a community that believes in innovation through collaboration in order to push the built industry forward. They provide tools, connections, inspiration, and knowledge through their various events and company ecosystem. Each year the organization selects 50 individuals who act as leaders and innovators, pushing the boundaries of the built industry, and recognize the work they have accomplished by awarding them a BuiltWorld Maverick Award.
