Next Thursday 13th of December the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and the Fundació Mies Van Der Rohe will organize an open presentation around the topic of Advanced Architecture. Through the academic and students’ research developed at the IAAC Master in Advanced Architecture, the experimental work redefines urban space and architectural design through the use of public space data, computation, biology and renewable energies.

  • How will emergent synthetic and biological ecosystems define urban infrastructure?
  • How can the interaction between architects and machines activate public space?
  • Which emerging technologies and typologies have the potential to transform architecture into a productive organism rather than a consumer agent?

IAAC Master in Advanced Architecture faculty board and students and local and international architects will engage in a brainstorming about the future of our architecture and cities, proposing solutions to respond to the current challenges facing both our planet and society.

The event is organized in the framework of KAAU project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and of Creative Food Cycles project, co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
