R+D Manager for the Robotics Lab at IAAC.
In this role you will have the opportunities to manage the research and development activities of the Robotics lab at IAAC. This involves on one side the management of existing projects together with our talented team of international experts, and on the other side the development of new projects with our extended network of partners. As the Robotics Lab has been steadily growing for the past years, the aim for the position in the long term is to consolidate the portfolio of research activities and services we offer, while expanding our network to get new projects.
Main responsibilities
- Project management of research and development projects : including keeping contacts with the partners, contributing to research activities, coordinating in-house expert contribution, developing interim and final project reports, organization of project events, and publications of results (Web, Social media, Journals),
- Proposals writing for grant applications and industrial projects : including developing proposals with new contact, review state of the art research on this topic, articulate a work plan with in-house experts and synthesise the contribution from all partners.
- Strategic partnership development : including developing a communication strategy, curating existing content (from academic, research and development projects), and managing its publication and follow up with possible partner contacts.

- Previous experience in academia & industry (more than 3 year)
Optional skills :
- Familiarity with Robotics, Digital Fabrication, Craftsmanship, Computational Design and Software Engineering
- Familiarity with EU & Spanish grants
- Travel enthusiast (in Europe or in the world).
Position benefits
- Permanent contract
- Full-time position (40 h week, from Monday to Friday) in Barcelona.
- Salary: 27,000.00 –32,000.00 € per annum, according to experience.
