JOB OPENING – MASTER PROGRAM COORDINATOR
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia – IAAC is an international centre for Education, Fabrication and Research dedicated to the development of architecture capable of meeting the worldwide challenges in constructing 21st century habitability. Based in the 22@ district of Barcelona, one of the world’s capitals of architecture and urbanism, not to mention the European Capital for Innovation (2014), IAAC is a platform for the exchange of knowledge with researchers, faculty and students from over 60 countries around the world.
ABOUT THE JOB:
IAAC is currently looking for a MASTER PROGRAM COORDINATOR who will be in charge of the coordination of the Master in Advanced Architecture.
What will you be doing?
- Academic management
- Public Relations

In more details?
- Preparation of the Master Program materials such as program, schedules, forms, posters etc.
- Setup and administration of Master Program content, current student and alumni database;
- Communication with the scientific tutors, providing guidance and assistance in all organizational steps of the Master Program;
- Budgeting and invitation of speakers and students,
- Support to the promotion of the Master Program on social media and any other available channels of communication relevant to the program;
- Arranging for logistics (transport, material purchase, presentations, installations,
catering) - Master Program supervision;
- Support processing reimbursement requests, invoices or payments with administration staff;
- Compiling reports, including student statistics and Master Program budgets;
- Setup and analysis of online surveys and forms;
- Data management and electronic document filing, including student management system;
- Management and/or coordination of special projects and events
This is you:
- Full English proficiency (Spanish isn’t mandatory but would be highly appreciated)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Google Drive / Docs / Sheets;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word / Excel;
- Basic Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign;
- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work effectively and efficiently, under stressful conditions, to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
- Autonomous, able to take on responsibilities
- Must have demonstrated, through prior work experience, the ability to identify and resolve, in a courteous and professional manner, complex issues and problems while adhering to an appropriate policy and procedure.
- Interest in Art, Technology and Photograph.
- Willing to learn, motivated, enthusiastic and social
Other skills:
- Previous experience in Academia, Teaching, Research, Scientific Papers &
- Publications is highly appreciated
- Holding a degree in Architecture or Design disciplines is appreciated
Hours: 40 hours a week (Monday to Friday, daily from 10.00 to 14.00 and 15.00 to 19.00)
Language: English (Spanish appreciated)
Position Commencement: 16th September
Salary: 20 to 22 K€ according to candidate profile
