Ariadna Cantis

Ariadna Cantis is an Architect from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid. Author, critic and independent curator of architecture, she divides her activity between the dissemination of architecture, urban planning, research and curating, through projects, exhibitions, workshops and publications, with the aim of generating critical thinking between architecture and contemporary culture.

Ariadna has been an advisor to the Ministry of Housing, coordinating the exhibition program of the Arquerías de los Nuevos Ministerios. She is the curator of the Iberoamerican Emerging Panorama research program, and since 2006 of the FRESHMADRID platform, currently a guest project in the MATADERO MADRID creators archive.

Since 2009 she has been curator of FRESHLATINO and FRESHLATINO 02, a platform for the dissemination of Ibero-American architecture with the sponsorship of the Cervantes Institute.  In 2008, together with Andrés Jaque, she created the platform PIENSA MADRID, in La Casa Encendida. Curator of Mataderolab, TransformingMadrid, Performingarchitecture. Guest expert of the Mies van der Rohe Awards 2009-2011, jury of the AEPD Awards.

Curator of Arquia Próxima Fundación Caja de Arquitectos 2011-2012 and the online contest Transitarte promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, finalist in the Chief Curator 3rd Lisbon Architecture Triennal contest, finalist in the curatorial contest of the XV Spanish Architecture Biennial.
