What will be presented?

Robotics for Ecological Buildings investigates how robotic manufacturing innovation can handle the variable, non-standard properties of natural materials within adaptive reuse. Using IAAC’s future campus warehouse in Poblenou as a structural framework, students develop robotic fabrication workflows to craft custom, low-impact interventions for an existing industrial shell. By programming robots to work with irregular local matter, the research explores how automation can precisely adapt to both natural material behavior and pre-existing architectural constraints.
