Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Biocities Coordinator
Position: Educational coordinator
Location: IAAC – Valldaura Labs
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia is seeked a dynamic and energetic coordinator for our Master Program based at Valldaura Labs. Valldaura is our Campus hidden away in the Barcelona mountains. Valldaura’s history dates back more than 850 years. What was once a palace of the . Crown of Aragon, Valldaura is now an Architectural Masters campus, scientific research center and biofarm. We are hiring a coordinator capable of multitasking and working within a unique University environment.
Tasks include:
• Preparation of Master Program materials such as program, schedules, forms, posters etc.
• Setup and administration of Master Program content, current student and alumni database;
• Faculty coordination;
• Communication with the scientific tutors, providing guidance and assistance in all organizational steps of the Master Program;
• Invitation of speakers and students;
• Promoting the Master Program on social media and any other available channels of communication relevant to the program (Festivals, Conferences, etc);
• Primary contact person for all Master Program applicants and students, capacity to interview applicants;
• Arranging for logistics (transport, material purchase, presentations, installations, catering)
• Master Program supervision;
• Support processing reimbursement requests, invoices or payments with administration staff;
• Compiling reports, including student statistics and Master Program budgets;
• Setup and analysis of online surveys and forms;
• Data management and electronic document filing, including student management system;
• Master social networks
• Recording videos and photos

Required Skills:
• Previous experience in coordination of academic courses;
• Experience with Google Drive / Docs / Sheets;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word / Excel;
• Basic Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign;
• Autonomous, able to take on responsibilities and coordinate in a team efficiently;
• Interest in Art, Technology and Design;
• Willing to learn, motivated, enthusiastic and social
• Good interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
If the applicant has experience in teaching some of the topics covered in the master, this could be potentially integrated into the position’s activities.
Reporting structure:
This position reports to the Valldaura Labs Directors
Hours:
40 hours a week (Monday to Friday)
