Master in Artificial Intelligence for Architecture and the Built Environment – Final Presentation

Prototyping design intelligence through AI, computation and the built environment

The Master in Artificial Intelligence for Architecture and the Built Environment at IAAC concluded its academic year with a series of final presentations developed within the Applied Research Studio. This unique programme explores how artificial intelligence can redefine the future of architecture, engineering and construction.

Over the course of the semester, students investigated real-world challenges across the built environment—proposing data-driven workflows, interactive tools, and speculative design systems. From construction site intelligence to generative design platforms, the final projects demonstrated how AI can become a strategic and creative partner in architectural processes.

Working with datasets, machine learning models and algorithmic design, students explored new ways to integrate computation into spatial thinking. Each project served as a prototype of how artificial intelligence can enhance decision-making, optimise processes and expand the possibilities of design.

The final presentations showcased predictive simulations, automation frameworks and user-centric design interfaces—bridging the gap between technical innovation and architectural imagination.

These presentations reflect the mission of the Master in Artificial Intelligence for Architecture and the Built Environment: to train a new generation of professionals ready to apply advanced technologies to design systems, construction processes and urban environments.
