Mass Madera Award 2025

An award to recognize projects by architecture students


Mass Madera, the Spanish Network for the Promotion of Industrialized Solid Timber Construction, is launching this award to recognize Final Degree Projects and Master’s Theses from the last three years that feature timber structures or in which wood is a key material.
MASS MADERA AWARD FOR FINAL DEGREE PROJECTS / MASTER’S THESES
Final Degree Projects (PFC) and Master’s Theses (TFM) in architecture from any Spanish university can be submitted, provided they were presented within the last three years (since the June 2022 call) and have made significant use of wood as a construction material.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
A PDF document containing relevant information to understand the PFC / TFM.
AWARDS
The total value of the prizes is €26,050.
They include a 100% scholarship for a Master’s program at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia for the 2025–26 academic year (the year when Barcelona is the World Capital of Architecture), plus a cash prize of €3,000 for 1st place, €2,000 for 2nd place, and €1,000 for 3rd place.

DEADLINES

The deadline is 24:00 on July 10, 2025.
Winners will be announced on July 25, 2025.
