IAAC Applications

The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Academic Year 2023-24. IAAC is a multidisciplinary educational and research centre with a lot to offer to international students. Its cutting-edge selection of Educational Programmes approaches a wide spectrum of subjects ranging from Advanced Architecture, Urbanism, Future Cities and Robotic Construction, to Digital Fabrication, Sustainable Design and Self-sufficient Buildings.

IAAC offers one and two-year programmes in these topics, with an emphasis on the opportunities that arise from emergent technologies, and the cultural, economic, environmental and social values that architecture and design can contribute to society.

Join IAAC in Barcelona and live the experience of studying in the World Capital of Innovation and Technology, or choose an online Master and be part of its virtual, multicultural community!

New Application Portal and Guide

For this Application Cycle, IAAC has launched a new Application Portal which will facilitate the submission process. While registering, applicants will be given access to a personal page, where submission and payment can be completed at any time, allowing you to save your progress, and continue at a later moment, both for document submission and payment processes.

Furthermore, IAAC is glad to provide prospective students with an extensive step by step Application Guide, describing all phases of the Application Process and our selection criteria to help solving any concerns that may arise.

New Funding Opportunities and Scholarships

Every year IAAC offers generous scholarships and funding opportunities to its applicants as a commitment to support students interested in studying within its educational platforms by means of special financial aid, scholarships and fellowship programmes. This year, to reinforce the presence of the Institute in the Iberian Peninsula, IAAC has introduced a new Spanish Tuition Fee in order to foster a wider reach of our educational programmes in the local architectural community.

With the aim to open new opportunities for those who identify as women to become part of the technology sector, this year IAAC has announced the creation of the IAAC Women in Tech Fund. The fund aims to close the gender gap, help those who identify as women to embrace technology and promote women’s empowerment around the world.

Still unsure about what you can expect from IAAC?

If you are interested in pursuing your postgraduate studies in IAAC, participate in the first Online Open Day of this Academic Year. On Thursday, 24th of November 2022 you will have the chance to discover IAAC facilities, receive a presentation about the Educational Programmes and meet our Directors and Faculty.

Still unsure about which programme to choose, and willing to learn more? Attend the Open Day and get real insight into the content of your preferred Master’s, along with the career opportunities it will bring.
