Marta Lacambra is the General Director of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economic Theory and Quantitative Methods from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Among other qualifications, she has also completed the senior management program at IESE (PADE). Much of her professional career has been linked to public management, where she has held executive positions in various departments of the Generalitat, such as Deputy Director General of Economic Management and Deputy Director General of School Planning at the Department of Education, and Deputy Director General of Cultural Heritage and Secretary General of the Department of Culture. She was also the president of the National Theatre of Catalonia (TNC) and the secretary general of the Department of Environment, where she also served as director of the Catalan Water Agency (ACA). In the private sector, prior to assuming the general management of the Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, she was deputy general manager of Caixa Manresa and director of its Obra Social. Currently, she is also an independent director of the paper company Miquel y Costas and a member of the board of the Cercle d’Economia.
