Jordi Prat is a multidisciplinary maker. He learned from master craftsmen in wood and metal shops. With that experience, he created his own company interactua, focused on the production of interactive installations, product prototyping, and scientific replicas construction. A project that was awarded the prize “Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit” by the UAB (2011). In 2015 he joined the ALBA synchrotron to support the experimental research with the design and construction of scientific instrumentation.
He has studies in engineering and a degree in sociology for the UAB, specializing in the social dimension of science and technology.
In 2020 he became the Valldaura Fab Lab Manager to share his craftsman experience and his knowledge about the digital machining tools to develop the off-the-grid technologies to move forward to a more sustainable ecology.
