Camila Álvarez is an Architect from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia, and has a Master in Urban Planning and Policy Design from Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
Sheis particularly interested in the planning, management and territorial governance of efficient projects and alternatives for the innovative and sustainable development of the contemporary city. Her master’s thesis focused on the interpretation and critical theorizing of the governance model through public transport in her home country.
Camila has six years of experience in architectural design, urban planning and sustainable developmentprojects around various cities in Colombia, Italy and Spain.
She has worked in various international competitions and workshops that have allowed her to develop a transdisciplinary training and a global experience of cooperation. Currently, she works in the Urban Sciences Laboratory as an Urban Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona, ??Spain.
