Carlos Bausá: Environmental Design Analyst at Foster + Partners

Here in Foster and Partners, I am doing things that I could only dream about as an architect” explains Carlos Bausá. Carlos, who graduated at IAAC Master in Advanced Architecture in 2014, has already spent a year and a half working in the firm’s headquarters in London.

He’s currently one of the Environmental Design Analysts of the Specialist Modelling Group division, focusing on applying techniques of solar analysis to buildings construction.

Through algorithms and programming, I analyse how the sun is going to affect a building in order to improve its conditions, both in the habitability and energy consumption performance.” He says.

Back in 2014, the Master in Advanced Architecture opened for him the doors of Newtecnic in London, the company that designed the façades of Zaha Hadid.

Now, Carlos wants to make the most of this professional experience, but in the future he’s planning to come back to Spain with his wife, also IAAC Alumni, to set up their own architecture studio.
