About the Lecture
Dominik Holzer will offer a glimpse into his latest book-project addressing: The Imminent Transformation of Architectural Practice through AI. As AI takes an ever-increasing stronghold in architectural, engineering and construction practice, many questions remain unanswered.
As much as there has been a strong focus of AI support for Image generation (a-la MidJourney), and text-based searches (Claude/ChatGPT), the true value of AI remains largely untapped when considering the much broader knowledge-base architects draw on in their everyday practice.
This relates to the processing of project information, both in terms of drawing on in-house precedence, as well as including external factors (such as building codes, supply chain, or client preference).
Surprisingly, not much RnD has happened yet in this space over the past few years, yet the potential for imminent and highly disruptive change is evident. Dominik Holzer will explain in greater detail what the next few years will have to offer and what to become excited (or scared) about.
