What will be presented?
Students from the X-Urban Design Studio—part of the Master in Advanced Architecture Year 1—
will present their final projects addressing the complexity of contemporary territories through multiscalar urban strategies.
This studio moves beyond traditional town planning or building design to explore a new kind of urban intelligence. Inspired by ecological systems, students design at different scales—territory, city, and neighbourhood—considering how these layers interact and influence one another.
Throughout the semester, each project has explored:

alternative urban models rooted in local cultures and emerging economies,

the integration of nature, digital networks and infrastructure,

and the use of ICTs to activate public space and urban systems.
The final presentations will showcase urban proposals that challenge the dominant Western city models, proposing complex and adaptive solutions shaped by regional context, technological potential and environmental sensitivity.
