IAAC Educational Programmes Win the ACADIA Award of Excellence

IAAC has been one of the special guests at the 2018 ACADIA’s Mexico City Conference, that took place this October under the title of: Recalibration - On Imprecision and Infidelity.

For being at the forefront of academic innovation, last April 
IAAC Educational Programmes were awarded with the ACADIA’s Innovative Academic Programme Award of Excellence. This year the conference emphasises the precision of the digital tools used for architectural design.

The IAAC Lecture Series is back to keep on offering a fresh look at the work of outstanding architects and experts from a variety of different disciplines.

Fab City Global Initiative has released the first Fab City book, co-edited by Fab Lab Barcelona Director Tomas Diez. IAAC Joins the Middle East - Europe Forum

IAAC AAG Head of European Projects Chiara Farinea recently joined the Middle East-Europe Forum held in Kish Island, Iran. Iran is an international observatory partner of Urbinat, a European H2020 Project focusing on the regeneration of deprived districts in urban developments through Nature-Based Solutions. Focus of the gathering was to work out common initiatives to enable universities, researchers and key stakeholders to engage in effective collaborations.

Kyle McDonald's Workshop at IAAC

Under the framework of the MIRA Digital Arts Festival, on the 6th and 7th of November IAAC will be offering a Workshop on Computer Vision and Machine Learning for Interactive Art, led by the expert Kyle McDonald. Kyle McDonald is an artist creating immersive audiovisual installations by using techniques from computer vision, machine learning and computing to create unusual experiences. 2ACAA Forum & Awards Ceremony

IAAC and 2A Magazine have been glad to present to the 2A Continental Architectural Awards for Asia and Europe (2ACAA) Interaction Forum and Award Ceremony, held in Barcelona last week. The 2A Magazine Awards, this year under the theme of Innovative Contextual Design, aimed to recognise and praise substantial contributions to today’s architecture celebrating the diversity of cultures, identities, themes, ideas and experiences.

[IAAC > Lectures]

Fuksas Opening Lecture 2018/19

IAAC Lecture Series 2018/19 was inaugurated last October 11th by the lecture of the internationally renowned Italian Architect Massimiliano Fuksas. IAAC Academic Director Areti Markopoulou, celebrating the beginning of the Academic Year, kicked off the event that saw the participation of Actar Publishers Director Ramon Prat, and IAAC Alumni Daniele Fiore and Jayant Khanuja, currently working at Studio Fuksas in Rome.
