Layla Serra is an expert in marketing, advertising and public relations, with a wide experience in the academic sector, especially in creativity and design. She graduated in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Valladolid (2007), and afterwards she specialized in different areas of marketing and communication: Master in Fashion and Communication (2008), Postgraduate Executive in Strategic Planning (2009), Postgraduate Executive in Digital Branding (2010) and Postgraduate in Digital Marketing and Social Media Business (2012).
Her professional career started in the marketing department of Tommy Hilfiger. After that, she worked in the agency Finally Press as an assistant of communication and presswork for brands as Intropia, Nike, Karl Lagerfeld or Stuart Weitzman.
During the following 9 years, she worked at Istituto Europeo Di Design. In the first term as Account Manager of the Business Department, where she managed the collaboration with firms in order to develop the different national and international projects. In the second term, she worked in the Marketing and Communication Department as Marketing Manager, developing and executing marketing and communication strategies, being responsible for the yearly Marketing Plan.
The following step leads her to the learning division of Grupo Planeta for the brand EAE Business School as Product Manager, developing and implementing the Product Improvement Process in order to improve the competitiveness of the existing products. Today she is the Director of Marketing, Communication and PR of the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona.
