Angel Muñoz is a creative coder and hardware developer from La Rioja in Spain. Passionate about art, science, music and retro-futurism, he started programming (self-taught) at the early age of 9.
In 2001 he moved to Barcelona where he began to work in international advertising agencies (EURO RSCG and Doubleyou) specifically in the interactivity and multimedia departments for brands like Coca-Cola, AUDI, Danone, SEAT, Adolfo Dominguez, and more, winning various prizes in international advertising festivals such as Cannes, El Sol, among others.
In 2006, looking to extend the digital world to the physical world, he began developing an interest in open hardware and studied Electronic Product Design obtaining a Higher Vocational Training Qualification. He then began collaborating with the Hangar Medialab.
Since then he has also been collaborating with IAAC and the Fab Lab Barcelona Pro team, on various projects like The machine to be another, Omnipresenz and startups like First Vision, Smart Citizen, Looper.
Angel is also part of the IAAC Academic team as Physical Computing Expert teaching in different Master Programs like Master in Robotics and Advanced Construction and Master in Advanced Architecture.
